No dejemos de bailar

Si uno pasea por muchas ciudades del mundo puede encontrarse diferentes grupos de personas que comparten su origen común celebrando alguna tradición de su lugar de procedencia. En algunas ocasiones las celebraciones pueden implicar danzas tradicionales que pueden llegar a ser espectaculares. Este es el caso de la Capoeira.

Paseando hace unos días por un parque pude contemplar como bailadores de esta danza enseñaban a bailar a gente autóctona.

El nacimiento de este baile tiene que ver con la llegada de los esclavos africanos a Brasil. Existen múltiples teorías sobre como acabó conformándose el baile, no se sabe a ciencia cierta si ya era originario de alguna etnia africana en concreto o acabó formándose exclusivamente en Brasil. En todo caso, sí que se podría afirmar que el baile acabó configurando una forma de resistencia donde los esclavos podían practicar sus bailes y a la vez practicar gestos de ataque y autodefensa.

Ahora los brasileiros han exportado esta danza tan espectacular y saludable desde muchos puntos de vista a múltiples rincones de todo el mundo.

Brasil se ha convertido en un país más que emergente, un país al que habrá que tener muy en cuenta, un país que concentra casi el 90 % de uno de los pulmones más importantes de la tierra y al que todos debemos ayudar para que nuestras inspiraciones y expiraciones no finalicen pronto. El Amazonas y la sonrisa brasileña deberían ser patrimonio de toda la humanidad y es de verdad muy inspirante que los brasileños que todavía deben emigrar por todos los rincones del planeta se reúnan y enseñen al resto de los ciudadanos una danza tan saludable desde el punto de vista cardiovascular.

Se trata en este sentido de una actividad de intercambio cultural y de medicina preventiva. Pocas cosas consiguen tanto con tan pocos medios. Muchas otras culturas o poblaciones de otros puntos del planeta bailan también diversos tipos de danzas y sería muy interesante que hubieran más intercambios de este tipo que permitieran a todo el mundo conocer las costumbres de los demás en un ambiente casi deportivo.

Otro país emergente como la India contribuye también con las bien conocidas danzas “boliwoodianas” tan de moda entre muchas personas que viven muy lejos del subcontinente indio. Así todo tipo de variantes como la danza bharatanatyam de técnica muy depurada como también la desenfrenada alegría del bhangra son asimiladas por personas jóvenes de todo el mundo.
